Tara O’Malley is an associate at Kressin Powers. She counsels corporations and individuals targeted by unfair and monopolistic practices, drawing on her expertise in various stages of litigation, from initial fact-finding to discovery. Tara possesses knowledge in a diverse set of industries, having represented clients in the tech, healthcare, heavy highway construction, multifamily real estate, and news media sectors. She understands and strategically navigates the intersection of a rapidly evolving marketplace and legal environment. Previously, Tara worked at Kanter Law Group, where she handled a variety of antitrust issues related to app stores, ad tech, search, and e-commerce.


Tara earned her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law where she was a Notes and Comments Editor of the Journal of Corporate and Financial Law. She was an antitrust law research assistant and corporations teaching assistant to Professor Zephyr Teachout. During law school, Tara worked full-time in the Litigation Bureau of the New York State Office of the Attorney General where she assisted in motions practice to defend the state of New York, its officers, and agencies in state court. She has also worked as a law clerk in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Maryland and as a paralegal for a white-collar criminal defense firm in Manhattan. Before law school, Tara worked at an international non-profit dedicated to advancing human rights, addressing climate change, and promoting gender equality. She received her B.A. from the College of Charleston.
